Install BizTalk Server 2006 R2 on Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 – Part 6: Installing BizTalk Server 2006 R2

Installing BizTalk Server 2006 R2

Installing BizTalk Server 2006 R2 will be very easy if you have installed all the prerequisites successfully. If you haven’t installed all the prerequisites then, I would request you to install the same as mentioned in the article titled Installation of BizTalk Server 2006 R2 on Windows XP or Windows Server 2003.

1. Login on to the server where you are planning to install BizTalk Server 2006 R2 with administrative privileges and then insert BizTalk Server 2006 R2 installation media. From the root folder double click Setup.exe to being the installation.

2. Click “Install Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2 on this computer” option from the splash screen.

3. Within the Customer Information Screen enter the appropriate the appropriate information and click Next to continue with the installation.

4. Accept the Licensing Agreement and click Next to continue with the installation.

5. Accept the default selection within the Component Installation screen and then click Next, to continue with installation.

6. In Redistributable Prerequisites screen you will be able to see the missing prerequisites for BizTalk Server 2006 R2 installation. You can choose any one among the available four options. In this example I have selected the second option which is “Automatically install the redistributable prerequisites from the web" to download and install the components automatically.

7. In Summary screen you will be able to see the list of components which will be installed as part of BizTalk Server 2006 R2 installation.

8. This completes BizTalk Server 2006 R2 installation.

9. Next step will be to configure the BizTalk Server, hence leave Launch BizTalk Server Configuration checkbox enabled and click Finish.
